New ways to make it your own: Asheville brides become creative:
Today more than ever, our brides are finding creative ways to make their weddings unique and one of a kind. Some changes will be seen in the personal floral choices and also in reception decor. We are now suggesting new ways to display wedding food using floral installations and finding colorful fabrics arranged to adorn the food stations. Interactive food stations are popular this year since they are seen as an easy way for guests to enjoy different cuisines. Brides are mixing cuisine choices to accommodate all tastes. As bridal attire changes, we can also expect to see more two piece bridal gowns as reported in many bridal magazines in the new year.
News & Views for January of 2019:
As suggested in Bride’s Magazine, we will be looking to expand bold color choices for florals and decor. The top color choice for 2019 is called “living coral.” This is an exciting tone perfect for spring and summer Asheville weddings. We can also incorporate this color into many wedding themes. As reported recently, we expect to see a come back for bright colored flowers as opposed to the all white bouquets of the past few years. The bright colors will be paired with simple white stems. Look for ranunculus, peonies and many other flowers to be selected this year. A bouquet of many colors will be a brides choice for 2019.
Decorating the entire space is a new trend for 2019:
In the past, brides were looking to cut costs and the first thing to suffer was usually the budget for flowers. However, the brides of today are looking to the future and they dream of florals to cover the entire wedding space. They are now aware that the best way to have family and guests experience the “wow factor” is not only to gaze upon the bride’s dress, but to fill their wedding space with beautiful florals. A variety of florals will definitely make a huge statement as the wedding guests arrive at your wedding.
The downside is that “real flowers’ are expensive. To accommodate this additional cost, the wedding budget will need to increase. Couples could be hit with “sticker shock” if they are planning to decorate the entire venue space. We urge you to plan early to save enough for floral design.
