Pumpkins everywhere:
For some brides and grooms, Fall weddings are in their dream weddings plans. However, not every couple loves the traditional Fall color palettes. Were referring to burnt orange, burgundy, brown, tan, cream, and forrest green.
Couples can have beautiful Fall weddings with traditional all-white wedding decor, black-tie wedding touches, or even a modern take on Fall.
These modern Fall color palette can include grey, white, cream, blush pink, baby mint, and an accent of gold or silver. Patterns and textures add exquisite detail too such as flannel, plaid, wool, or velvet.
Even if you think it has been done before, remember, it can always be done with your own touch. Pumpkins and leaves may not be for every couple, but try thinking outside of the box. If you were really envisioning some classic Fall harvest decor, do not set that one the back burner.
Floral designers can incorporate pumpkins in classy, understated ways. For example, you are not limited to orange, yellow, or burnt orange colored pumpkins. Pumpkins can be painted matte grey, white, stone green, tan, and cream to really accentuate a modern Fall color palette. Splattered touches of gold or silver will elegantly and eclectically add a pop.
Pumpkins actually naturally come in several shades of cream as well. Take a trip to a pumpkin patch to get an idea of what we are speaking of.
You will be pleasantly surprised if you have never seen one. Step into any store this year, and you will find these faux white pumpkins all around the stores. Paired with silver or gold accents and you have yourself a sweet, soft Fall arrangement.
Leaves are no exception to this trend. Fall weddings can incorporate dried foliage similar to those incorporated into many bohemian or barn weddings. Leaves may also be spray painted.
On a brisk night, make a pumpkin spiced latte for your bridesmaids and do a few DIYs. If this is your cup of tea, there are plenty of ways to save money and still execute your Fall wedding decor dreams. Spray paint fake or real leaves that have fallen off trees the colors of your wedding.
Now, for this DIY, does need to be completed only a few days before the wedding. Maybe after the rehearsal dinner, your bridesmaids can do this one last favor, or have your florist do this task. Whatever pumpkins you choose, carve out the inside and hollow it out.
Placing tea candles, or battery operated lights, inside of these pumpkins creates a romantic touch. This is especially lovely in dim-lit venues or ceremonies at later hours of the day. The aisle can be topped off with your DIY leaves, white, gold, or silver lanterns, and your florals.
Guests may be greeted at the door with hot chocolate, an Autumn inspired cocktail, or pumpkin spiced latte served in copper cups. Imagine walking down the aisle through this incredible display and guests wrapped up in grey wool blankets. Can you say dream?
It’s gourd to see you:
For classic Fall color palettes, go the whole nine. Pop geometric, gold coffee tables next to light blue, classic velvet couches for a glamorous, inviting reception or cocktail hour.
Gold bar carts may be effortlessly places around the area with pre-mixed drinks, with the venue’s permission. Decorate the bar carts with gourds, pumpkins, vines, and hypericum berries. Antique hydrangeas go beautifully as well.
Escort card tables are the perfect place for mini pumpkins or gourds. For a more uniform look, paint all of the pumpkins the same color, and only use like-sized picks. Tie a cute paper leaf onto the stem, or stalk, with the guests name and table number. These will not blow away in an outside reception and are very stable so they will not fall into a plate of food.
We hope you got the Fall wedding feels like we did. Discuss some of these ideas with Bobby and Mark for your upcoming fall wedding. We look forward to seeing you back!
