As we hop closer to Easter time, pastel colors are perfect for upcoming spring weddings. Christian or not, Easter decor influences wedding decor this time of year. Follow along for sweet spring wedding trends.
Easter wedding details:
Easter is coming up on April 21. Event planners love to be inspired by holidays close to the wedding date. Brides tend to have a harder time of this as planning two years in advance seems just like a date.
However, once that time of year approaches, brides often want to add last-minute details correlating with decor they see in stores and restaurants. For kids, this is even more intriguing than just a simple color scheme.
Last week, we mentioned how vibrant and fresh it is to have baskets of fresh in-season flowers at the entrance of your ceremony. Once the ceremony has wrapped up, Bobby and his team loves to reuse these arrangements somewhere in the reception space. This can all be done during cocktail hour, so guests will not even notice you recycled the florals.
We are excited to share the idea of nest escort cards! Now, these are not actually cards. We love the idea of tiny, precious nests with dyed eggs. Each egg can be personalized with a calligraphed name. To make it simpler and cleaner, we can even use fake eggs.
The escort eggs can be soft pastel colors. Baby blue gingham table runners or napkins are absolutely sweet and match Easter inspired decor. Tie silverware together with twine and a sprig of lavender for a delicate, fragrant touch.
A beautiful bridesmaid bunch:
Pastels such as yellow, blue, pink, green, and lavender are Easter colors no doubt. For outgoing brides, a lavender or blue bottom layer of tool makes an exquisite pop on any wedding dress. If you are more traditional but still want to incorporate an nature vibe, a lace or macrame wedding dress will make the cut.
The same goes for bridesmaids dresses. Going against everything we have ever known, bridesmaids do not have to wear dresses. Jumpsuits as well as skirt and crop tops are youthful and perfect for spring weddings.
Dress and decor:
The weather in Asheville is stunning, so dress accordingly. Speak to the BobbyMark’s Designs team about building a bouquet full enough to cover midriffs if this is a concern. Of course, flower crowns are whimsical and match the spring theme. Visit with us even before choosing your wedding dress and bridesmaid outfits to create well-rounded floral accessories.
For weddings with garden fairy elements, BobbyMark’s can make magical fairy shoes. If you do not know what they are, ask us. Garden weddings are perfect for bare feet, so fairy shoes are basically natural flower foot jewelry. They are very eccentric and ideal for a unique spring bride or groom.
Neutral color weddings can also incorporate Easter and spring elements. Simply change the colors of any spring or Easter decor to neutrals such as blush, cream, or sold gold tones. Even the florals can be neutral.
This does not translate into all white, but it is quite the opposite. There can be black, blush, and sand colored roses along with others.
Trust BobbyMark’s with your vision, and we are sure to deliver your dreams. Call today to schedule a meeting or lunch to discuss booking our team for a seamless spring Easter wedding!
A buttercream dream:
This season, we expect to order plenty drip cakes. Drip cakes are perfectly iced cakes adorned with flowers, but the icing is perfectly imperfect. The icing appears to be strategically poured over the top of the cake leaving drip marks running down the sides of the cake layers. Usually the drips stop in the middle of the cake layer.
Please consider any and all of these Easter inspired spring wedding details, but be do not hesitate to come up with new ideas with us. We want your wedding to be true to every bride and groom. Remember not to feel pressured into staying in-season.
You can have whatever colors and decor you desire on your wedding day! No need to stick with pastels. Come back next time for more wedding and event news. We are sending love to all of our engaged couples and newlyweds!
