Sweeten up your wedding with more options than you thought possible. Recently, BobbyMark’s Designs displayed a stunning, dessert display. Candy bars are trending, eye-catching alternatives to traditional wedding cakes.
Classy candy bars:
Skip serving cake altogether or choose one of these stellar options to wow eyes and taste buds. Candy displayed in a playful yet elegant manner is called a candy bar, or candy station. Candy in glass jars, bowls, and on tall skewers is just tasty as it is beautiful. While candy bars such as Twix or Snickers may be on display, the term candy bar refers to a table or surface displaying beautiful candies.
Usually, candy bars are so eye-catching because of their variety of colors. If a wedding’s color scheme is blush pink, baby blue, and gold, these would be the colors incorporated. It may seem rather difficult to find such unique colored candies, so leave this to BobbyMark’s Designs.
Last week, we designed a captivating pink dessert station including a candy bar and champagne wall. This wall was custom built to fulfill the couple’s sweet dreams. We have a wonderful team which can bring any vision to life, with the help of talented carpenters.
The center section of the dessert display was designed to hold champagne glasses during cocktail hour. On each side, mirror seating charts shined and reflected for a perfect photo opportunity. Later on, that same center wall held crystal champagne flutes with rose topped with pink cotton candy! A prink straw made a practical drink decoration.
Whether you want a cake or not, a dessert bar brings out the child in us all. Children really do enjoy dessert bars of all kinds. Candy bars specifically, can have around twenty different kinds of candy.
Candy stations keep children entertained while their parents mingle. Having alternating container heights is key. This makes it seem more interesting to the eye while making each candy visible. Our favorite displays incorporate glass apothecary jars with ornate stems.
These displays may look extravagant but may cost you much less than a traditional wedding cake. Plus, the sweet treats double as wedding favors. Supply sweet boxes, jars, or cellophane bags and ribbons for guests’ easy transport.
We all scream for ice cream:
Ice cream bars are not only aesthetically pleasing, they are very ideal for summer weddings. Hot events usually ruin a bit of the ladies’ makeup and curls. Provide foods that are cool and refreshing as well as non-alcoholic concoctions.
Ice cream bars, or stations, are ideal for cocktail hour or during the normal “cake cutting” time. People of all ages, especially the elderly family members, attending your big day, love this cool offering.
Of course, serving staff would need to monitor the ice cream’s temperature. Another alternative would be to offer a milkshake mixologist. This makes it a bit easier and makes the presentation formal as staff would make the milkshakes for each guests.
However, if you do not have loud enough music to drown out the blender, this could become very bothersome. Milkshake bars are much more ideal for outdoor cocktail hours or receptions. Avoid milkshake bars, popcorn machines, shaving ice machines, or other loud equipment if you are indoors as the sound is amplified.
Southern belle wedding components:
Pink, rhinestones, and all that sparkles- usually all three elements are in the picture for a southern belle event. Having multiple sides to your personality is a great dynamic to have. Many southern women love to go hiking, get a nice massage, and also ride on dirt bikes.
There are multiple sides to every person. It is difficult to wear just one style on such an important occasion. Indulge and pick, not one, but two dress for your special day! Often times, brides believe they must choose a dress that makes them shed tears.
However, there may be two dresses that give a bride that feeling, so do not deprive yourself of a little spoiling on this momentous occasion. Settling for just one dress is very stressful and adds a lot of pressure on a bride. Some brides even regret their dress pick because the feeling of trying on that second dress is stuck in their mind.
Some boutiques give a nice discount if you purchase more than one item during a visit. Speak to your family and fiancé about budgeting for two dresses, or treat yourself. Our recent bride had two lovely dresses.
One dress can be a large ballgown serving princess vibes. The second dress can bring sexy elegance into the evening dancing hours. The second dress may also relieve brides of hot layers of fabric.
Sequin, short dresses are making statements during the get-down hours of the night. Once the option of having two options is on the table, a bride can feel effortless in a bohemian lace dress after feeling like a princess in a luxurious ballgown
